Monsanto is a charming town sandwiched between two giant boulders in Portugal. It has been designated an “open air museum” and such has had building restrictions placed on it which have allowed Monsanto to remain practically unchanged for centuries. The giant boulders along, hanging rock formations and stone buildings reportedly earned Monsanto the nickname “Bedrock city”
